Stenobrachius leucopsarus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mictòfids i de l'ordre dels mictofiformes.
Morfologia
- Els mascles poden assolir 13 cm de longitud total.
- Nombre de vèrtebres: 35-38.[2][3]
Reproducció
És ovípar amb larves i ous planctònics.[4]
Alimentació
Menja peixos, copèpodes i eufausiacis.[5][6]
Depredadors
És depredat per Anoplopoma fimbria (Alaska), Brama japonica,[7] Theragra chalcogramma (Alaska), Pleurogrammus monopterygius (Illes Kurils),[8][9] Atheresthes evermanni (Illes Kurils), Reinhardtius hippoglossoides,[10] Salmonidae, Thunnus alalunga (Estats Units), Sebastes flavidus,[11] Tactostoma macropus (Illes Kurils), Bathyraja maculata (Rússia), Bathyraja matsubarai (Rússia),[12] Prionace glauca (Estats Units)[13] i diversos ocells marins (Alaska).[14][15]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes que viu entre 0-3.400 m de fondària.[2][16]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba des del Japó fins al Mar de Bering i el nord de la Península de Baixa Califòrnia (Mèxic).[2][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][4][26][27]
Longevitat
Pot arribar a viure 8 anys.[28]
