The 1787 Virginia gubernatorial election was held on 30 November 1787 in order to elect the Governor of Virginia. Incumbent Federalist Governor of Virginia Edmund Randolph won re-election in the Virginia General Assembly as he ran unopposed.
General election
On election day, 30 November 1787, Federalist candidate Edmund Randolph easily won re-election as he ran unopposed. Randolph was sworn in for his second term on 1 December 1787.[1]
