University Cup
The six teams that advanced to the tournament are listed below. The Champions of each conference tournament received automatic bids and were seeded 1–3. One spot in the tournament was reserved for the host school, Moncton, but because they had already received one of the automatic bids, a second wild card bid was available. The OUA runner-up Wilfrid Laurier received the Quebec bid held by OUA. The firs wild-card went to AUS runner-up New Brunswick. The second, in a mildly surprising move, went to the third place AUS team, St. Francis Xavier, rather than the Canada West runner-up, Alberta, who had won their regular season title and finished with a record of 22–6–4.
