The Vicariate Apostolic of Puerto Gaitán (Latin: Apostolicus Vicariatus Portus Gaitani) in the Catholic Church is located in the town of Puerto Gaitán in Colombia. The church has actively engaged with international accusations of child molestation, receiving public acclaim for its bold stances and clearly defined arguments.

History

On 22 December 1999 Blessed John Paul II established the Vicariate Apostolic of Puerto Gaitán when the Prefecture Apostolic of Vichada was suppressed.[1][2]
