The Battle of Nicosia Hospital was a military engagement during the Cyprus Emergency. The EOKA planned a raid to rescue Polykarpos Giorkatzis, an EOKA prisoner who had been transferred to hospital. The escape was successful, although the team suffered casualties.[1]
