Claudine Vita (born 19 September 1996 in Frankfurt an der Oder) is a German athlete competing in the discus throw and shot put. She competed at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, as well as multiple other major championships. She was a bronze medalist at the 2022 European Athletics Championships, and a gold medalist at the 2017 European U23 Championships and 2015 European Junior Championships.[2]

Career

She won a silver medal at the 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine.[3] She won a gold medal in the discus throw at the 2015 European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden.[4] She won a gold medal in the discus throw at the 2017 European U23 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.[5] She was a silver medalist at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples.[6] She won gold competing for Germany at the 2019 European Athletics Team Championships in Poland.[7]

She competed at the delayed 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan held in 2021, where she qualified for the final and placed ninth overall.[8]

She competed at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where she successfully reached the final and placed fifth overall with a best throw of 65.24 metres.[9]

She competed at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich, Germany, where she qualified for the final and placed third overall with a best throw of 65.20 metres to win the bronze medal.[10]

She competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, placing tenth in the final with a throw of 63.19 metres, having thrown 64.51 metres in the qualifying round.[11]

She placed fifth in the final at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome, Italy.[12] She competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, where she placed sixth in the final with a best throw of 63.62 metres.[13]
