Clifford Township is a township in Butler County, Kansas, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 259.

History

Clifford Township was organized in 1876.^[1] The township was named for John A. Clifford, a pioneer settler.^[2]

Clifford Township covers an area of 41.81 square miles (108.3 km²) and contains no incorporated settlements.

The township contains the following cemeteries:

Clifford Cemetery (aka Pleasant Center Cemetery), located in Section 14 T23S R4E.^[3]
