Daran (Persian: داران)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Daran Rural District[4] of the Central District of Jolfa County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 947 in 320 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 934 people in 374 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 900 people in 381 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
