Dhana is a census town in Sagar district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
History
Dhana was a ruling chieftaincy of Hazari Pathak Saryupareen Brahmin Pathak rulers of Dhana came from Gorakhpur as rajpurohit of Ahirs of Dhana. After Ahirs decline under Marathas these Pathak's were made rulers with responsibility of one thousand army which gave them the Title of (Hazari)and sixteen villages. They fought from the side of peshwas
Pathak rulers also built a strong fortress for their security in Dhana
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Dhana had a population of 10,295. Males constitute 61% of the population and females 39%.
