Dourges (French pronunciation: [duʁʒ]) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.[3]

Geography

An ex-coalmining commune, now a light industrial and farming town, situated some 8 miles (13 km) east of Lens, at junction 17 of the A21 and the A1 autoroutes. The canalized river Deûle flows through the commune.
