- From an avoided double redirect: This is a redirect from an alternative title or related topic of Grand Old Party, another redirect to the same title. Because double redirects are disallowed, both pages currently point to Republican Party (United States).

- Mentioned in a hatnote: This is a redirect from a title that is mentioned in a hatnote at the redirect target. The mention is usually atop the target article.
