Hanan Hadžajlić

Hanan Hadžajlić (born 16 August 1991) is a Bosnian composer, flutist, and researcher.[1] She co-founded the INSAM Institute for Contemporary Artistic Music and serves as its director.

Since 2018, Hadžajlić has worked as a teaching assistant in the Composition Department of the Sarajevo Music Academy, part of the University of Sarajevo.[2]

Career

Hadžajlić is holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in flute performance,[3] a Master's Degree in composition, and a Master's Degree in flute performance. She is a PhD student of Transdisciplinary Studies of Contemporary Art and Media.[3][4]

Her research fields include composition, contemporary improvisation and electroacoustic music performance, transhumanist music,[5] artificial musical intelligence (AMI),[6] transculturality, nomadism and globalization. Her scientific papers have been published by the AM Journal of Art and Media Studies[7] and the INSAM Journal.[8]

Awards and recognition

Her composition "Freezing Moon" is included in the book The 21st Century Voice: Contemporary and Traditional Extra-normal Voice by Michael Edward Edgerton.[10]
