Jordan Adika Cope (/əˈdkə/ ə-DEE-kə;[2] born 5 May 1994) is an English YouTuber. He is known for his commentary videos and his collaborations with long-time friend Jarvis Johnson, including their podcast, Sad Boyz.

Personal life

Jordan Adika Cope[3] was born on May 5, 1994[4] in England, UK.[5][6] He attended University College Falmouth in Falmouth, Cornwall from 2012 to 2015, graduating with a bachelor's degree in film.[7][8] He met fellow YouTuber Jarvis Johnson, with whom he now frequently collaborates, at a work event in early 2016 when they both worked at Patreon, bonding over a mutual interest in the comedy troupe The Lonely Island.[9][10]

Career

Early career

From June 2010 – February 2012, Cope worked at Contract Audio Visual as an event assistant. He also worked as a web development intern at UltraSimplified from February 2011 – July 2012. He was then an intern at Amirani Media for one month in August 2012, before moving on to become a journalist at Rushes Magazine, where he worked from June 2013 – July 2014. In March 2015, Cope became the Creator Relations Talent Lead at Patreon. He left Patreon in January 2019 to become the Director of Production at Atypical Artists, which he left in July 2020.[8][5][11]

Patreon

In March 2015, Cope became the Creator Relations Talent Lead at Patreon.[12][8] Here, he met fellow YouTuber Jarvis Johnson.[9]

In November 2017, while still working at Patreon, Cope became involved in a lawsuit, which alleged that Patreon was used to distribute a hate campaign, in the form of a podcast, against the plaintiffs, blogger Maddox and his girlfriend.[13] The lawsuit was dismissed in May 2018.[14][15]

In January 2019, Cope left Patreon, and co-founded Atypical Artists, where he was the Director of Production.[11][5] He left in July 2020.[8]

Online career

Cope first appeared on Johnson's YouTube channel on 22 May 2018.[16] The two run a podcast together,[17][18] which began on 14 October 2017.[19] He uploaded the first video on his own YouTube channel on 13 October 2021.[20]
