Marketing consultants are individuals or companies who provide marketing advice on the specific issues faced by the client. There are many types of marketing consultants including strategic thinkers, project managers, and brand image specialists.[1]

There are many types of professionals that a small business owner can partner up with to develop and execute a marketing campaign. Traditionally, small business owners would contact an Ad Agency, who would create and execute a marketing campaign. With the rise of the internet, many more marketing experts have risen to assist small business owners with their promotional needs.

Many small businesses find establishing an in-house marketing team cost-prohibitive. Marketing consultants provide access to marketing knowledge and skills that would otherwise be inaccessible to them.[2]

Print Brokers

One particular marketing expert that is often overlooked is a Print Broker. A print broker is an individual or firm that acts as a project manager coordinating marketing efforts between print manufactures and end-users. Print brokers are independent from each printing companies they partner up with, allowing them to serve customers with a wide range of services. If a small business owner is looking to deliver a high impact advertising campaign, a print broker would be a great partner to help define production issues, specify specifications, solve production issues and coordinate between different manufactures. Small business owners would benefit from print brokers who have the expertise and resources needed to manage print projects day-to-day to insure timely delivery, conscientious budgeting and reduction of waste.[3]
