History

During a cabinet reshuffle on 6 March 2023, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the creation of the new ministry "to focus greater attention on the performance of government." He appointed Maropene Ramokgopa as the first Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.[1][2]
