Pathompong Sombatpiboon (Thai: ปฐมพงศ์ สมบัติพิบูลย์; 9 October 1961 –) is a Thai rock singer and songwriter.[1][2] He is lead vocal from Thai rock band, Stone Metal Fire and The Sun.[3][4]
Early life and musical career
He was born in Chumphon Province, in Thai Chinese family. He finished educate in Ramkhamhaeng University. He interested about music since his young, and he have Suraphol Sombatcharoen and Ozzy Osbourne to his idols.[5]
He started to lead vocal from Inferno band.[5] In 1985 he was lead vocal of Soda band with label GMM Grammy, and he started to lead vocal with The Olarn Project in 1987.[6] His popular song during in The Olarn Project include Yah Yud Yang (อย่าหยุดยั้ง), Fai Pratthana (ไฟปราถนา) and Hoo Lek (หูเหล็ก). He most famouslity by lead vocal of Thai popular rock band Stone Metal Fire and The Sun with record label RS Promotion, in 1993. His popular song include Mrs. Cat (นางแมว), Paranoid (หวาดระแวง), Consent (ยอม), Am I Too Easy for You? (ง่ายเกินไป), The Faith (ศรัทธา).
He is also sometimes known by his nickname Pong (โป่ง, ballon)[5] or the epithet kradueak thongkham (กระเดือกทองคำ) 'golden Adam's apple' [7] or "Ozzy Osbourne of Thailand".[5]
He is a chairman of Thai rock record label Real and Sure since 2002.[5]
Personal life
He married with Chariya Sombatphiboon, and they have a daughter is Thiticha Sombatphiboon (Angel), singer from Kamikaze record label.[8][9]
