Premier, Inc. is an American healthcare company, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company is listed on New York Stock Exchange (Nasdaq: PINC) Class A.

In the early 2000s, Premier was a hospital buying group, pooling healthcare purchases to reduce prices.[3]

In 2017, Premier acquired Stanson Health for $51.5 million and, in 2019, acquired Medpricer, a healthcare technology firm, for $35 million.[4] In June 2020, Premier partnered with McLaren Health Care to acquire a minority stake in Prestige Ameritech, a manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PP).[5]

In 2021, Michael J Alkire was appointed as the CEO of the company.[1]
