Roads in Belize

The road network in Belize consists of over 1,900 miles (3,000 km) of roads, of which approximately 357 miles (575 km) is paved.[1]

Belize has five major asphalt-paved two-lane roads:

  • Thomas Vincent Ramos Highway from Dangriga to Punta Gorda (97 miles or 157 kilometres)
  • Hummingbird Highway from Belmopan to Dangriga (55 miles or 89 kilometres)
  • Coastal Highway, also known as the Manuel Esquviel Highway, from Dangriga to La Democracia, Belize
  • George Price Highway between Belize City and the Guatemalan border near Benque Viejo del Carmen (78.3 miles or 126.0 kilometres)
  • Philip Goldson Highway between Belize City and the Mexican border north of Corozal (95 miles or 153 kilometres)
