Serena Best

British academic

Serena Michelle Best CBE FREng CEng FIMMM, is a British academic, and the Professor of Materials Science at the University of Cambridge.[1]

Best has a BSc from the University of Surrey, and a PhD from the University of London.[1] She was elected Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng) in 2012.[2]

In the 2017 Birthday Honours, Best was made a CBE, "For services to Biomaterials Engineering."[3]

As of January 2019, Best is President of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.[4]
