Sydney Matilda Lohmann (German pronunciation: [ˈloːman]; born 19 June 2000) is a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Germany national team.[2]
Club career
Sydney Lohmann grew up in Pürgen in Upper Bavaria. In her childhood she first played for SV Lengenfeld, then for VfL Kaufering, both in the district of Landsberg am Lech.
From the youth team at SC Fürstenfeldbruck, Lohmann switched to the youth department of FC Bayern Munich for the 2016–17 season. For the B youth team, she played six league games in the junior Bundesliga and scored two goals. Her debut on 17 September 2016 (1st matchday) in a 3–1 win in the home game against the B youth team of 1. FC Nürnberg was crowned with her first goal, the goal to make it 2–0 with a penalty kick in the 20th minute.[3]
