T'Vondre Sweat (born July 11, 2001) is an American football defensive tackle. He played college football at Texas, winning the Outland Trophy and receiving unanimous All-American honors in 2023. He is the brother of Philadelphia Eagles player Josh Sweat.

Early life and high school

Sweat was born on July 11, 2001.[1] He attended Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Texas, where he played basketball and football.[2] He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to play college football at Texas.[3]

College career

Sweat played in all 13 of Texas's games as a freshman.[4] He recorded 22 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass broken up with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a sophomore.[5] Sweat had 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack during his junior season.[6] As a senior he was named honorable mention All-Big 12 Conference after finishing the year with 30 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, and four passes defended.[7] In 2023, Sweat won the Outland Trophy and was named a unanimous All-American on a defensive line that also included Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year winner Byron Murphy II.[8][9]
