Taioha'e
Town in French Polynesia, France
8°54′35″S 140°6′5″W / 8.90972°S 140.10139°W / -8.90972; -140.10139Taioha'e is the main town on Nuku Hiva island. The town is located on a former volcanic crater, which has partly collapsed into the ocean, creating a bay.[1]
This is the site of Fort Madison, set up by Porter in 1813.
