Uttarakhand Gramin Bank is a Regional Rural Bank in India.It is sponsored by State Bank of India established under RRB Act 1976 came into existence on 1 Nov 2012 after amalgamation of the two erstwhile RRBs viz. Uttaranchal Gramin Bank and Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank in Uttarakhand State. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The Bank is headquartered at Dehradun and presently its area of operation in all 13 Districts in Uttarakhand having 291 branches and 6 regional offices.[2][3]

It functions under Regional Rural Banks' Act 1976 and is sponsored by State Bank of India.

Uttaranchal Gramin Bank

As part of the restructuring process initiated in 2005, RRBs sponsored by the same banks were amalgamated to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Uttaranchal Gramin Bank was an Indian Regional Rural Bank headquartered in Dehradun, India. It was established in 2006 as a Regional Rural Bank by a gazette notification issued by the Government of India. Under Section 3 (i) of RRB Act 1976 (RRBs Act 1976). By amalgamation, on 30 June 2006, of the following 3 banks, Ganga Yamuna Gramin Bank, Alaknanda Gramin Bank and Pithoragarh Kshetriya Gramin Bank sponsored by State Bank of India, to participate more energetically, in the upliftment and development of Rural Farm Sector and Rural Non-Farm Sector. It was under the ownership of Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Uttaranchal Gramin Bank was operating in a total of 9 districts of Uttarakhand viz. Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Haridwar, Pauri, Chamoli, Champawat, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts. Its head office was in Dehradun.

Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank

Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank was an Indian Regional Rural Bank headquartered in Haldwani,Uttarakhand India. It was established on 26 March 1983. It is sponsored by Bank of Baroda. Prior to the amalgamation of the bank on 1 November 2012, Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank was operating in Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Its head office was in Haldwani.

Uttarakhand Gramin Bank is the second largest bank of Uttarakhand in terms of Branch Network. The area of operation of the Bank is spread with a network of 291 branches covering all 13 districts. Being the area of operation of the Bank as rural having this population density, it has 220 Rural branches, 41 Semi-Urban branches & 30 Urban branches.
