Văn Bàn is a rural district of Lào Cai province in the Northeastern region of Vietnam. As of 2019, the district had a population of 89,167.^[1] The district covers an area of 1,444 km². The district capital lies at Khánh Yên.^[2]

The district is located in the southern part of the province, on the right bank of the Red River.

Administrative divisions
