Yamaçköy is a village in the Güroymak District of Bitlis Province in Turkey.[1] Its population is 943 as of 2021.[2]

History

The village was formerly known as Pav in 1556 and Pov in 1902, both of which are of Armenian origin.[3][4]

Geography

The village is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level.[5] It is surrounded by the villages of Üzümveren, Yazıkonak, Kuştaşı, and Özkavak.[6]
