Baudouin edo Boudewijn^[1] (Brusela, 1930eko irailaren 7a - Motril, Espainia, 1993ko uztailaren 31) belgikarren erregea izan zen 1951tik 1993an hil zen arte. Haren agintaldian independizatu zen Kongo.

Bizitza

Leopoldo III.aren eta haren lehenbiziko emazte Astriden semea zen. 1951ko uztailaren 16an, Leopoldok abdikatu zuenez, Belgikako bosgarren errege bihurtu zen. 1960an, Kongo independizatu zen, eta Belgikak utzi zion indar kolonial izateari. Kontzientzia arazoak zirela medio, zenbait egoeretan abortoa zigorgabetzen zuen legea sinatu nahi ez izateagatik, 1990eko maiatzaren 4an "erregetzarako gai ez izatea” aitortu zuen. Wilfried Martensen gobernuak erregeordetza bere gain hartu eta legea sinatu zuen. Maiatzaren 5ean, Baudouinek berreskuratu zuen kargua. 1991n, Lege Salikoa indargabetu zuen; era horretan aukera eman zien Astrid printzesaren ondorengoei erregetzara iristeko.

1993ko uztailaren 31n hil zen, bihotzekoak jota, Motrilen oporretan zela. Laekengo Elizako erret-panteoian (Brusela) ehortzi zuten. Anaia Alberto izan zuen ondorengo.

Ezkontza

1960ko abenduaren 15ean, Fabiola Mora y Aragón espainiar aristokratarekin ezkondu zen. Ez zuten seme-alabarik izan.
