Trichoderma on sienisuku, jota kasvaa yleisesti maaperässä. [1] Viljeltäessä sieni on hyvin nopeakasvuinen. Aluksi kasvusto on kermanvärinen, mutta muuttuu itiöinnin alkaessa vihreäksi. Itiöinti alkaa pesäkkeiden reunoilta. Konidioforit ovat haaroittuneita.[2]
Lajit
Trichoderma-sukuun kuuluu 89 lajia. Hypocreat ovat Trichoderman teleomorfeja. Vastaavasti Trichoderma on Hypocrean anamorfi. [3]
