AgustaWestland Apache

AgustaWestland AH Mk 1 Apache adalah helikopter serangan dibangun dengan lisensi dari versi AH-64D Apache Longbow untuk Army Air Corps Angkatan Darat Inggris. Pertama delapan helikopter dibangun oleh Boeing, sisanya 59 yang dirakit oleh Westland Helicopters (sekarang bagian dari AgustaWestland) di Yeovil, Somerset di Inggris dari kit Boeing yang disediakan. Perubahan dari AH-64D dilengkapi mesin Rolls-Royce, defensif bantu suite elektronik baru dan mekanisme bilah lipat memungkinkan versi Inggris untuk beroperasi dari kapal. Helikopter bernama "WAH-64" oleh Westland Helicopters. Hal ini ditunjuk Apache AH Mk 1 (atau disingkat menjadi Apache AH1) oleh Departemen Pertahanan.

Apache telah menjadi helikopter terhormat dukungan udara dalam konflik berkelanjutan di Afghanistan, yang dikerahkan ke wilayah tersebut sejak tahun 2006. Apache telah menjadi objek kontroversi pemasangan beberapa amunisi, seperti bom cluster dan senjata thermobaric. Percobaan angkatan laut dan penyebaran sementara di laut telah terbukti sebagai platform pesawat mampu beroperasi dari geladak kapal, yang merupakan aplikasi unik dari Apache antara operatornya. Apache Inggris bertugas di NATO 2011 intervensi militer di Libya operasi dari kapal Royal Navy.
