Life with Father adalah sebuah film komedi Amerika Technicolor 1947.[2][3] Film tersebut mengisahkan kisah nyata Clarence Day, seorang pemegang saham yang ingin menjadi pemimpin dari rumahnya, tetapi menemukan istrinya dan anak-anaknya menghiraukannya, sampai mereka mulai membuat tuntutan-tuntutan agar ia mengubah hidupnya sendiri. Ceritanya kebanyakan menggambarkan ketidaksetujuan istrinya saat Clarence membaptis bayi Clarence, karena cuaca sedang tidak menyehatkan. Tercantum dalam autobiografi, semua anak dalam keluarga tersebut (semuanya laki-laki) berrambut merah. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh William Powell dan Irene Dunne sebagai Clarence dan istrinya, didukung oleh Elizabeth Taylor sebagai gadis remaja cantik yang ditaksir putra sulung Clarence, bersama dengan Edmund Gwenn, ZaSu Pitts, Jimmy Lydon dan Martin Milner.[4] Film dan audionya masuk domain publik pada 1975.[5]
