Periode Ubaid (c. 6500 sampai 3800 SM)[1] adalah periode prasejarah Mesopotamia. Namanya berasal dari Tell al-`Ubaid, sebuah lokasi penggalian besar pada periode Ubaid yang dilakukan pertama kali oleh Henry Hall dan kemudian dilanjutkan oleh Leonard Woolley.[2]
Di Mesopotamia bagian Utara periode ini hanya berjalan antara sekitar 5300 dan 4300 SM.[3] Periode ini didahului oleh Periode Halaf dan Periode transisi Halaf-Ubaid kemudian digantikan oleh Periode Chalcolithic Akhir.
