Suaka Magdalena

Suaka Magdalena, juga dikenal sebagai tempat cuci baju Magdalena awalnya adalah lembaga Protestan namun kemudian sebagian besar adalah lembaga Katolik yang beroperasi dari abad ke-18 sampai akhir abad ke-20, untuk merumahi "wanita yang jatuh". Istilah tersebut diterapkan kepada wanita yang melakukan pergaulan bebas atau bekerja dalam prostitusi; wanita muda yang hamil di luar nikah, atau gadis muda dan remaja yang tak memiliki siapapun untuk menengoknya.[1]
