Yel-yel laut adalah sebuah jenis lagu kerja yang pernah sering dinyanyikan di kalangan buruh kapal layar pedagang besar. Namun, pada saat ini, cakupan definisinya terkadang diperluas menjadi sejumlah besar repertoir dan karakteristik, atau merujuk kepada "lagu pekerjaan maritim" secara umum.
