Perancangan kesinambungan perniagaan

Perancangan kesinambungan perniagaan[1][2] (atau kesinambungan perniagaan dan perancangan ketahanan) ialah proses menciptakan sistem pencegahan dan pemulihan untuk menangani potensi ancaman kepada sebuah syarikat.[3] Di samping pencegahan, matlamatnya ialah untuk membolehkan operasi berterusan sebelum dan semasa pelaksanaan pemulihan bencana.[4]

Rintangan organisasi terhadap kegagalan adalah "keupayaan ... untuk menahan perubahan dalam persekitarannya dan masih berfungsi".[5] Selalunya dipanggil ketahanan, ia adalah keupayaan yang membolehkan organisasi sama ada untuk bertahan dengan perubahan persekitaran tanpa perlu menyesuaikan diri secara kekal, atau organisasi terpaksa menyesuaikan cara kerja baru yang lebih sesuai dengan keadaan persekitaran baru.
