National Book Critics Circle Award

De National Book Critics Circle Award is een jaarlijkse Amerikaanse literaire prijs voor Engelstalige boeken, uitgereikt door de National Book Critics Circle (NBCC).

Prijzen

De belangrijkste prijzen zijn: fictie, non-fictie, poëzie, memoires/autobiografie, biografie en kritiek (criticism). Alleen nieuw verschenen boeken komen in aanmerking, herdrukken en pocket-uitgaven niet. Ook vertalingen, korte verhalen en essay-bundels zijn kanshebbers. De NBCC-leden verkiezen 24 personen om de boeken te nomineren en te jureren.
