Afroamerikansk historie
Den afroamerikanske historien er den delen av USAs historie som handler om afroamerikanere eller den "sorte" etniske befolkningsgruppen i USA. De fleste afroamerikanere er ætlinger etter afrikanere som ble holdt som slaver i USA under den amerikanske slaveritiden 619-1865.
Andre verdenskrig
Over 1.5 million sorte amerikanere gjorde militærtjeneste under andre verdenskrig. Denne militærtjenesten ble utført i spesielle militære avdelinger, uten "hvite".[1][2]
Den andre store migrasjonsbølgen i USA
I tidsperioden fra1941 til1970 flyttet mer enn fem millioner afroamerikaner ifra det amerikanske sør til de andre tre regionene i USA.[3]
