A vogal central semifechada não-arredondada é um fonema vocálico utilizado em algumas línguas. O símbolo usado no Alfabeto Fonético Internacional (IPA) para representar este som é ⟨ɘ⟩ (um "e" ao contrário); não deve ser confundido com ⟨ə⟩ (um "e" de cabeça para baixo). Essa vogal foi incluído no IPA em 1993, antes disso ela era transcrita como ⟨ë⟩. Encontra-se fontes antigas que a transcrevem como ⟨ɤ̈⟩.[1]

É uma vogal semifechada; isso significa que a língua é posicionada entre uma vogal fechada e uma média.
É uma vogal central; isso significa que a língua é posicionada entre uma vogal posterior e vogal anterior.
É não-arredonda; isso significa que durante a pronúncia os lábios não são arredondados.
