History
Until 2007, it was officially called Stary ("Old") Żabieniec.
Location
The village is located in the administrative district of Gmina Bądkowo, within Aleksandrów County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Bądkowo, 18 km (11 mi) south of Aleksandrów Kujawski, and 38 km (24 mi) south of Toruń.
