The 1784 Rhode Island gubernatorial election was held on 7 April 1784 in order to elect the Governor of Rhode Island. Incumbent Independent Governor William Greene won re-election as he ran unopposed. The exact number of votes cast in this election are unknown.[1]

On election day, 7 April 1784, incumbent Independent Governor William Greene won re-election as he ran unopposed, thereby retaining Independent control over the office of Governor. Greene was sworn in for his seventh term on 5 May 1784.[2]
