The Cherchenay (Adyghe: Чэрчэнай, romanized: Çərçənay) were one of the Circassian tribes. They were destroyed in the Russo-Circassian War.[1]

Area

According to Walter Richmond, they lived in the inner parts of Western Circassia, near the Chemirgoys.[1]
