El Waqf (Arabic: الوقف) is a city and markaz in the Qena Governorate, Egypt.[2] The former name of the city is al-Sanabisa (Arabic: السنابسة).
The markaz has a population density of 9,865 people, of whom 4,986 are men and 4,879 are women.[3][4][5][6]
