History
Kahnuwan village have sikhs history known as kahnuwan shamb. A battle was fought here which is known in Sikh history as Chota Ghallughara. Historical Gurudwara sahib chotta ghallughara sahib belong to saheed singhs. The area known as Bait(ਬੇਟ)area. The town was named for Rajput king Raja Kanva of Harchand Rajput Dynasity who came to this region to defeat Pathans
