Salmanshahr District (Persian: بخش سلمانشهر)[a] is in Abbasabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Salman Shahr.[4]

After the 2006 National Census, Abbasabad District was separated from Tonekabon County in the establishment of Abbasabad County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Abbasabad as its capital.[4]

The following census in 2011 counted 24,645 people in 7,532 households in Kelardasht District.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 16,427 inhabitants in 5,253 households,[2] by which time the name of the district had been changed to Salmanshahr.[3]
