ZIP codes in the Philippines

ZIP codes of provinces according to the first two numbers
ZIP codes of cities and municipalities in Metro Manila according to the first two numbers

In the Philippines, a ZIP code is used by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost) to simplify the distribution of mail.[1] While its function similar with the ZIP Codes used in the United States, its form and usage are quite different. Its use is not mandatory but highly recommended by the PhlPost. A ZIP code is composed of a four-digit number representing a locality. Usually, more than one code is issued for areas within Metro Manila, and a single code for each municipality and each city in provinces, with some rare exceptions such as:

  • Davao City has 11 ZIP codes (8000, 8016 to 8026)[1],
  • Antipolo in Rizal has six ZIP codes (1870 to 1875)
  • Dasmariñas in Cavite, which has three codes (4114, 4115, and 4126)[2], Mabalacat in Pampanga has three codes (2010, 2026 for barangay Dau, & 2023 for portions under Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone), Island Garden City of Samal in Davao del Norte has three codes (8118, 8119, and 8120),[1]
  • The city of Baguio has two codes (2600 and 2602 for the Philippine Military Academy), the towns of Mariveles and Limay have two codes each, the city of San Jose del Monte and the town of San Rafael in Bulacan have two codes each, Sorsogon City in Sorsogon has two codes (4700 & 4701 for Bacon), the city of Biñan and the towns of Majayjay & Los Baños in Laguna have two codes each, Angeles City has two codes (2009 and 2024 for barangay Balibago), Lobo in Camarines Norte has two codes, Puerto Princesa has two codes (5300 & 5301 for Iwahig Penal Prison and Farm), the towns of Floridablanca, Lubao, & Porac in Pampanga have two codes each, Silay & Sagay cities in Negros Occidental have two codes each, Tagbina in Surigao del Norte has two codes (8308 and 8319 for barangay Malixi).[1]
