The 2023–24 season is the 115th season in the existence of Borussia Dortmund and the club's 48th consecutive season in the top flight of German football. In addition to the domestic league, they are also competing in this season's editions of the DFB-Pokal and UEFA Champions League.

The season is the first since 2015–16 without Raphaël Guerreiro, who departed to join rivals Bayern Munich. It is also the first time a supporter was allowed to design the Borussia Dortmund home shirt.
